Much like a perfume, your chosen scent speaks to your story; from luscious botanicals, sumptuous ouds or garden floral notes, the addition of scent instills a residential warmth, a feeling of home that grounds your celebration and powerfully infuses feeling. Whilst also allowing the experience to reverberate and go much further than the present moment – there are countless psychological findings which attribute the presence of scent to forming lasting memories & beyond that scent can literally transport us back to a moment in time, a place, the people we were with.

Using your scent in your stationery
Your invitations begin the story of your day, offering a hint to the vision to come, beautifully packaged and layered with artisan letterpress & sumptuous palettes the slightest spritz of perfume offers a subtle glimpse of the lovingly curated experience to come.
I also received a lovely thank you note from a Bride who spritzed the card with her wedding scent immediately transporting me back to thor floral filled summer’s wedding.
Layering your wedding scent throughout the wedding experience
During the wedding weekend our team layer your chosen scents through varying layers to strike the perfect balance; infusing a scent that is noticeable and evokes a warmth and feeling of home, yet isn’t too overpowering or distracting to disrupt your experience of savouring delicious food & being present within each unforgettable moment.
Candles
There is something so soothing & calming about the presence of a scented candle, placed on bars, coffee tables, and lightly dispersed on dining tables, they evoke a residential warmth that is reminiscent of home, or cosy boutique hotels in the English countryside. We often advise purchasing candles in varying sizes to be placed in key spaces of guest interaction, there is something so wonderful about a subtle hint of gardenia as you wait for a cocktail at the bar, or sip champagne on lounge vignettes.
Room spray
Offering a more subtle, yet instant infusion of scent, we layer room sprays throughout the set up of your wedding day, lightly spritzing onto linens and furnishings (with no oily residue, of course) before discreetly spraying each space before your guests enter.
Hand wash
I always revel in a beautiful handwash & handcream pairing, subtle and necessary, yet can be transformed through beautiful products & scents and is an easy, yet subtle win to offer further elevation of your event. From Heckfield Place’s Wildsmith botanical products, to Soho House’s Cowshed or the iconic Aesop, this moment at the sink when designed with intention can elevate experience.
Gifting
Through gifting you could take your wedding experience beyond the day, as a gifted candle continues to infuse your chosen scent and evoke memories long after your wedding celebration has ended. Perhaps part of a lovingly prepared welcome bag as guests check into their room.
How to choose your wedding scent
Choosing your wedding scent is such a personal decision, much like perfume, it’s an extension of your style and personality, your essence. Perhaps you want to take inspiration from the season, the surrounding english countryside, rambling rose gardens or your favourite scent at home. We recommend choosing one or perhaps two scents to layer together.

A wonderful catering friend shared an amazing anecdote where serving staff sprayed perfume on their wrists prior to the wedding dinner, offering a discreet flourish of scent as plates were placed on tables.
